Community Involvement

Special Spaces is a nonprofit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with life-threatening illnesses. Founded in 2004, the organization wants to provide a place of peace and comfort to help them heal and recover. Each child's bedroom is sponsored by an organization, such as Dutchman Heating and Cooling, Inc.

Dutchman Heating is thankful to be a member of our local Chamber630. The Chamber630 is  one of the largest business organizations in DuPage County.

We strive to be an integral part of our local communities by participating in local events which benefit our neighboring areas, their small businesses and residents.

Dutchman is thankful to be part of our local Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is a valuable resource in facilitating business growth and is the voice for positive change in our community.

Mike Bakker serves as an Ambassador in order to welcome new members to the chamber. Ambassadors help in navigating the chamber in order to make members comfortable and take full advantage of the benefits.

We also joined TEAM 3 group and always look forward to the Chamber’s networking events that helps Dutchman connect with customers, provides professional development opportunities, aids in marketing and visibility, and offers 24/7 advocacy for local businesses.

Dutchman enjoys participating in NCTV17 broadcasts with heating and cooling tips and information to the Naperville area community.

Naperville Community Television (NCTV17) is a valued nonprofit organization that delivers local television coverage of the people, places, and perspectives that matter to Naperville area residents.

Ambassadors are the face of the Chamber. These dedicated Members are fully committed to the furtherance of community based business, assist with Chamber events, participate in ribbon cuttings and help orchestrate Membership campaigns. The Ambassadors also welcome the new Members to the Chamber, and serve as educated contacts within the Chamber network.

At Dutchman enjoys spending time with Naperville Central High Business Club students and understand how they think, and we explain how we run our business.

Dutchman offers an introductory explanation in the areas of HVAC business, entrepreneurship and marketing. It gives NCHS business students a glimpse of the information how we started and have grown our business serving our community too. Mike Bakker enjoys discussing a variety of topics with NCHS students, such as advertising, marketing, the lifecycle of products, and product management, to name a few topics. Mike also encourages NCHS Students to become future entrepreneurs, and focuses on the necessary actions and tools to start a small business.

The Boy Scouts of America support strong ideals and values that families are looking for today.

Contributing to the Boy Scouts of America creates opportunities for youth to gain memorable experiences and become instilled with values, principles, and skills that will help them develop into future leaders of our nation. Dutchman is a proud sponsor to several local troops in the Naperville area.
